Celebrating Zambia's 60th year of independence

As Zambia celebrates 60 years of independence, we pause to reflect on a remarkable journey of resilience, unity, and progress. Since midnight of October 24th, 1964, when the nation claimed its freedom from colonial rule, Zambia has evolved from a fledgling state into a beacon of peace and stability in the region. Through the highs and lows, the heart of the Zambian people has remained strong, bound by the enduring principles of togetherness and perseverance.

From the copper-rich lands to the vast savannahs, Zambia’s story is one of growth—economic, social, and cultural. The strides made in education, healthcare, and infrastructure over the decades have transformed the country, paving the way for future generations to thrive.

As we look to the future, the promise of a new Zambia beckons. With the youth at the helm, innovation and development are within our grasp. We stand on the shoulders of those who fought for freedom, and now, more than ever, it is our collective responsibility to build a prosperous and sustainable Zambia for all. It is the responsibility of every Zambian, at home and abroad, to make Zambia great. We have only ourselves to rely on. Just as we once fought to be free, we should now work to create prosperity.

The journey continues, but the road ahead is bright. Together, we will soar higher, just like the mighty eagle that graces our national flag. Here's to 60 years of independence, and to many more years of hope, progress, and unity!
