Mizhu Entertainment, renowned for its vibrant Ubuntu Hangout series, recently brought the energy to the University of Zambia with one of their signature Ubuntu Festival activations.

Hosted at The Ruins—UNZA’s buzzing student hub—the event was a lively preview of the upcoming Ubuntu Fest, happening on April 26th and 27th, 2025. Students were treated to music, giveaways, and an introduction to the Ubuntu movement, which celebrates unity, culture, and community spirit.

The activation featured DJ sets from DJ Chichi Zambia and DJ Tommy Smiles, setting the vibe for an afternoon of pure enjoyment. The crowd was especially hyped during a performance by Ndine Emma, also known as Pundanponi Ati Bene, who delivered hits like Run and Sister Watu. A surprise appearance by Ba Matero—crashing Ndine Emma’s set like a true groupie—had the audience in stitches and amped the energy even higher.

Mizhu Entertainment didn’t just bring the vibes—they also brought gifts. Students walked away with free tickets and T-shirts, while the team was on hand to sell tickets and answer any festival-related questions.

Ubuntu Fest: A Two-Day Celebration of Culture & Togetherness

To mark the anniversary of Ubuntu Hangout—formerly known as Ubuntu Kuisine and Kulture Market—Mizhu Entertainment is hosting the Ubuntu Fest, a two-day event at NASDEC. The festival is tailored to different audiences across the two days:

  • Saturday, April 26th (Adults Only): Experience a 13-hour celebration of nightlife, culture, and music, from 12 PM to 1 AM.

  • Sunday, April 27th (Family Day): Bring the whole crew for a fun-filled day suitable for all ages, running from 10 AM to 10 PM.

Ubuntu Fest is more than music—it's a movement. Previously, Mizhu’s Ubuntu Cares Program embodied this ethos by giving back to the community through initiatives like distributing free meals on Lusaka’s streets, emphasising Ubuntu’s core meaning: togetherness and unity.
